About the House

Anna's house has a gloriously secluded setting, nestling in a fold in the land amongst ancient olive terraces with views of sea and countryside from every room. No other houses can be seen, nor are you overlooked, yet you are not remote, being only 5 minutes. drive from the coast and less than 10 minutes. from the local village of Anno Volimes.

All the rooms have large French windows leading out on to a long covered terrace with views to the swimming pool and beyond. The old olive grower's cottage, just yards from the front door, has its own covered terrace leading on to a paved courtyard, partially shaded by ancient olive trees. The terraces around the house provide flexible sitting and eating areas and there is a built-in barbecue on the main dining terrace.

The house is extremely comfortable, with a sense of simple luxury. Many of our local Greek friends at first cannot believe the house is less than 10 years old, imagining it to be a conversion of an old farm, but they certainly do agree it is one of the loveliest houses on the island. With many of our friends returning to stay year after year, they are probably right.

Accommodation is all on one level with limed, beamed ceilings. The house sleeps 8 in great comfort , in 4 double bedrooms, each with their own shower rooms. 2 of the bedrooms can become twins. One room is in the cottage. There is a large open-plan sitting room with fireplace, dining area and kitchen with breakfast bar. 

The 15 metre infinity pool is situated below the house and is salt-chlorinated. It has a delightful covered eating area, with pool fridge and shower, as well as loungers and large umbrellas. The terraced grounds abound with wild flowers in the spring and colourful shrubs in summer.

Trevor and Vivienne look after our house, a delightful and extremely efficient and conscientious English couple who speak Greek. Shopping, cooking, picnics and babysitting can all be arranged with them directly and a meal can be prepared for your arrival, as well as a stocked fridge and cellar. They will provide you with as much discreet service as you need to give you the perfect holiday.

Please note: in view of the terraced nature of the land the house is not ideally suitable for very young children. As the house is set in countryside a little way from the village, a car is a necessity and that is easily arranged.
